The Story

Grand Opening - 1986 (Taken at site of future car wash)

Vito sailed with his family from Ripacandida, Italy to America on the Andrea Doria.  After they arrived in the United States, his family originally settled in the Chicago area.  It was there that Vito met and married his wife, JoAnne, and together they began a family.

In 1974, they moved their family west to Mesa, Arizona and purchased land that would serve as the future site of Vito's Pizza Place.  Vito had always dreamed of opening a pizza place, and in February of 1986, that dream came true.

Vito and JoAnne gathered their best family recipes to create a menu of delicious authentic Italian dishes.  By blending Northern and Southern Italian styles of cooking with the freshest ingredients, they have created the same delectable dishes their family enjoys at home.

It is Vito's and JoAnne's goal to provide a warm and friendly family atmosphere where you can enjoy their delightful homemade specialties.

Bon Appetito.
